Construction Carpenter Foreman

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Construction Carpenter Foreman directs the day-to-day activities of carpenters, laborers and technician to meet short and long-term project schedule milestones. The Foreman ensures work is compliant with the contract documents and the Company’s quality standards. 

An overall description of the Irreno Construction Foreman’s role is to implement and maintain control workforce matters. Other major duties include:

  1. Review and be familiar with contract documents, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals. Irreno Construction Carpentry Foremen shall maintain a thorough understanding of contract documents and ensure that all tasks associated with rough carpentry, finish carpentry and finishes are performed in accordance with contractual and quality standards. 
  2. Establish and enforce quality control practices that meet industry and Company standards.
  3. Working with superintendents, project management team and workforces to meet daily, short and long-term schedule milestones. 
  4. Direct daily efforts to maintain job sites clean and safe. 
  5. Complete daily administrative documents such as timecards and field reports. 
  6. Lead the material takeoff effort and procure material supplies and equipment associated rough carpentry, finish carpentry and finishes tasks. 
  7. Participating in training and other forms of development to strengthen technical, safety, and supervisory skills. 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Basic qualifications for candidates include:

  1. 7+ Years of construction industry experience and experience overseeing projects as a Commercial Carpenter. 
  2. Ability to perform physical labor in, including lifting of carpentry building materials. 
  3. Ability to read and understand technical specifications, blueprints, technical manuals, product/material installation instructions and engineering/architectural drawings.
  4. Understanding construction methodology and sequencing associated with miscellaneous concrete work, rough and finish carpentry. wall and ceiling framing and hanging, and finish painting. 
  5. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  6. Experience with construction projects, building materials or working with craft workers.

Commercial Construction Assistant Superintendent

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Assistant Superintendent supports managing workflow consistent with the project schedule, communicates project priorities to field staff and subcontractors, maintains daily logs/reports of all activities and site conditions, and manages the punch list and closeout process through owner/architect acceptance. 

An overall description of the Irreno Construction Assistant Superintendent’s role is to implement and maintain control of all field matters. Other major duties include:

  1. Assist lead superintendents and project management in directing the day-to-day coordination of Irreno Construction’s trade contractors and their sub-contractors to ensure high-quality work that meets Company standards. 
  2. Review and be familiar with contract documents, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals. Irreno Construction Assistant Superintendents shall maintain a thorough understanding of contract documents to be able to plan and anticipate potential problems before they arise. 
  3. Review, understand and utilize the project schedule as basis to develop short-term progress schedules and meet milestone dates.
  1. Coordinate and update lead superintendents and project management team on material and equipment shipments and deliveries. 
  2. Assist in the development of each subcontractors’ scopes of work.
  3. Help the lead superintendent conduct progress subcontractor and foreman’s meetings.
  4. Perform daily safety inspections to ensure a safe work environment in accordance with the Irreno Construction’s safety program.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Basic qualifications for candidates include:

  1. 5+ Years of construction industry experience and overseeing multimillion dollar projects as an Assistant Superintendent of General Construction Foreman. 
  2. Ability to read and understand technical specifications, blueprints, technical manuals, product/material installation instructions and engineering/architectural drawings.
  3. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  4. Experience with construction projects, mechanical/electrical systems, building materials, building mechanics or working with craft workers.
  5. OSHA 30 training required.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Outlook.

Commercial Construction Superintendent

JOB DESCRIPTION

A Superintendent’s role is to effectively monitor, direct, and coordinate the field operations to work together with project managers and engineers to form an effective management team for our clients. Superintendents communicate project priorities to site staff and all subcontractors, serving as the primary leader on site for the construction project.

An overall description of the Irreno Construction Superintendent’s role is to implement and maintain full control of all field matters. Other major duties include:

  1. Direct day-to-day coordination of Irreno Construction’s trade contractors and their sub-contractors to ensure high-quality work that meets Company standards. 
  2. Review and be familiar with contract documents, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals. Irreno Construction Superintendents shall maintain a thorough understanding of contract documents to be able to plan and anticipate potential problems before they arise. 
  3. Help develop the overall construction critical path method (CPM) schedule with the Irreno Construction team prior to construction and managing the schedule throughout the project, including the creation and maintenance of 2-4 week look-ahead schedules.
  4. Review and assist in developing scopes of work for each subcontractor.
  5. Perform constructability reviews and develop daily progress reports. 
  6. Conduct preconstruction meetings with all subcontractors prior to beginning each phase of work.
  7. Conduct progress subcontractor and foreman’s meetings.
  8. Administering the safety program for the project.
  9. Participate in progress meetings with the team and or owners.
  10. Follow up on RFIs, submittals, as-builts and changes.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Basic qualifications for candidates include:

  1. 10+ Years of construction industry experience overseeing multimillion dollar projects as a Superintendent. 
  2. Experience and proficiency in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control
  3. Ability to read and understand technical specifications, blueprints, technical manuals, product/material installation instructions and engineering/architectural drawings.
  4. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  5. Experience with construction projects, mechanical/electrical systems, building materials, building mechanics or working with craft workers.
  6. OSHA 30 training required.
  7. Knowledge of basic business principles sufficient to project and monitor expenses.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Outlook.
